They stay at an apartment which is really close to the station.
Took a walk around the neighborhood, really clean and nice. Weather was cool even though it was already summer. One thing about Japanese streets is that they don't have any rubbish bins on the streets. You gotta bring your rubbish home with you to throw. They may have bins for the disposal of pet bottles or aluminum cans, but no ordinary bins for ordinary rubbish. In Malaysia, the lack of bins would just encourage the people with no civic consciousness to litter on the streets. IMHO, education and civic awareness is important. I hate litterbugs.
Yuki San works in a supermarket in Hiragishi while Hiromi San takes care of the children. He rarely has a day off from work, and he goes to work around 7.30am and comes home around 9pm. Usually he'll arrive at his workplace about 1 hour before work. Amazing! He's a busy man, but I noticed he would come home to spend family time with his kid and wife after work. It's rare when you meet a Japanese man that doesn't smoke and drink and even does the dishes after dinner.
Hiromi San plans to go back to work after the youngest child Mirina is 1 year old. Mirin the 3 year old goes to a kindergarten nearby and Rimu is a first year primary schooler. He walks to school by himself every morning! In Malaysia i guess there would be a high probability that even a grown man would get robbed or knocked down by cars if they had to walk to work every morning.
Some pictures of the neighborhood.
There's a small supermarket just beside the subway station, complete with a Daiso (100 yen) shop inside.
Played with Karin, Mirina and Rimu awhile before dinner. Mirina is cute, she's so chubby and rarely cries. She crawls around the house herself and feeds herself during meal time. She drinks 10 bottles of milk a day, hence the size.
