Been to Japan twice before this, but I've never visited Hokkaido before. Its known as Kita No Kuni 北の国 to the Japanese. Mainly because its located on the Northernmost part of Japan and separated from Honshu 本洲 the mainland.
Had to take a night flight to Tokyo, Narita which took about 7 hours plus. Yay! I get to travel on MAS! Travelling on budget flights like Airasia is so different, I haven't got on an MAS flight for quite some time now, even though I've visited quite a few countries recently.
After that its a 2 hour domestic flight from Narita airport to Chitose airport in Hokkaido on JAL.
JAL has the best service I've ever experienced, as expected from a Japanese company. The MAS stewardesses sound rude after you've just experienced a JAL flight.
A total of 4 of us going this time, the other gals will be staying at different homes. All of us will be staying in Sapporo district which is connected by their 3 subway lines.
